Who can Apply for the PY in Accounting in Australia?

Anyone who meets the following criteria can apply for the Professional Year program in Accountancy

1. The candidates must possess a graduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting from an Australian University which offers at least 2 years of credit points
2. Candidates must obtain a score of a minimum 6 in all the bands of the IELTS English Proficiency Test or an equivalent score of 50 marks in the PTE exam
3. A migration skill assessment outcome letter from an authorized accounting professional association
4. A valid passport with a Temporary Graduate Visa (must at least have applied for the same) and minimum 12 months validity.

The professional year in Accounting is a 44-week course divided into two main parts

Face-to-Face Classroom Lessons

  • The first part consists of 32 weeks of theoretical classes, seminars and workshops where students are taught business communication skills, professional relationship building, workplace best practices, and workplace health and safety measures.
    Apart from this, you will also be trained to excel in your specific field of education.
