IPA/CPPA/CAAZ SKILL ASSESSMENT

Skill assessment for all accounting-related occupations is done by one of the 3 accessing bodies IPA, CPAA, CAANZ. Individuals with an Australian bachelor’s degree or Higher, in regard to Post Australian Study Skill Assessment, require one year of relevant accounting work experience completed after the completion date of the relevant Australian qualification, otherwise, they can choose to complete the Professional Year Program to get the skill assessment. Furthermore, they also require an English requirement of IELT minimum overall 7.0 with no band less than 7.0 or equivalent. A processing time of 4-6 weeks can be expected for the skill assessment, which may be extended if incomplete documents are provided.

Individuals with overseas accounting qualifications can also get skill assessments for skilled migration purposes. However, the requirements can vary depending on qualification levels and how relevant it is to the selected occupation. To know more regarding requirements, contact us

Far too often, accounting graduates underestimate the difficulty to get a job without Professional Year Program and Skill Assessment, and by the end of their TR (SBC 485) they fail to accumulate 1 Year of work experience or fail to meet the English requirement, thus Professional Year Program is still highly recommended.
